Welcome to the USS Washington-E!

Welcome to the USS Washington-E, a post-Dominion War sim. The year is 2386. The Dominion War has been over for several years, but its aftermath is still unfolding. The Federation and the Romulans are the only two major powers, and only the Federation is stable, to a point. The Klingon Empire is still rebuilding and addressing its many wounds from the war, Cardassia is in shambles and occupied, and the Romulans are in far worse shape because of their own misdeeds than they would have outsiders believe. The Federation is now the lone superpower in the Quadrant, a role it neither wants nor enjoys. Exploration has returned, but the dangers of space have never been more pronounced. Welcome to the USS Washington, where danger and adventure lurk around every corner.

Posted on Fri Jul 3rd, 2026 @ 10:32pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar in General News

Another month has passed, and just like that, June is over. It was a good start to the summer for us, and I have high hopes as we move into July. For those unfamiliar, July is the Fleet anniversary, so we will be celebrating that soon enough. Just as the US is celebrating a major birthday, so will the Fleet (25 years). Below I have put forward our awards for June. I congratulate all who won. I look forward to you all competing at the Fleet level.

» May Awards

Posted on Sun Jun 7th, 2026 @ 6:38pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar in General News

The flowers have bloomed, all traces of cold wintery weather is gone, and even the bulk of the Spring rain has passed. That can mean only one thing, May has come and gone. It was a good month, and when I reviewed the posts, it turned out to be even better than I had remembered. Everyone seems to have contributed in some way. As we move into the summer months (at least for most of us), I look forward to seeing what we all come up with in our posting. Below you will find the May awards. As always, I…

Mission: Sins of the Empire
Posted on Mon Jul 27th, 2026 @ 10:58am by Lieutenant Viviana Del Rio & Commander Jonathan Grayson & Lieutenant JG Kate Kono & Lieutenant JG James Phoenix & Lieutenant JG Vienna Steele

The situation was tense, yet fluid. Ibarra had watched Jon kill two Klingons as they made their way further into the outpost. She wasn't sure if the Commander knew where he was going or not, but it wasn't her place to question. As they entered a courtyard several Klingons with bat'leths drawn charged at them as they gave a familiar Klingon war cry.

Jon pushed further into the outpost with Ibarra behind him and then Kate and Hathaway. As they moved into a courtyard, they were attacked by several Klingons. Jon didn't waste a moment; he brought his phaser up…

Mission: Sins of the Empire
Posted on Mon Jul 27th, 2026 @ 10:33am by Lieutenant JG Benjamin "Ben" Dalton & Ensign Aidan "A.J." Reid

Ensign A.J. Reid had patched the torpedo room, thrown himself against a bulkhead seal before the hull breach could outrun the forcefield, and hauled two crewmen down to medical on his back. Now Romulans on Deck Seven and Fourteen, if the chatter on the open channel was right. The Jefferies tube was narrow and smelled like burnt conduit. He sat with his spine wedged into the corner of a T-intersection, the ship shuddering around him in long rolling jolts, and drank from the Camelback reservoir he’d had the foresight to replicate before everything went sideways. His thighs were shaking. Sweat…

Mission: Sins of the Empire
Posted on Sun Jul 26th, 2026 @ 4:46pm by Commander Samantha Howard & Commander Jonathan Grayson & Lieutenant Commander Shoniara T’ghann-Travis MD

Dr Samantha Howard was tired. Sickbay had been stretched in every which direction lately and they'd been struggling to cope. She received a message to say that Shon was returning, which brought a smile to her face. Soon she wouldn't have to manage it all on her own.

Turning around in the mirror Shon noticed her body looked more muscular than she would have liked, especially in uniform, "Shas what do you thi..." she called, her voice ringing out into the soft hum of the life support then realising Shasta was on Vulcan with Sage and Seth had already left…

Mission: Sins of the Empire
Posted on Tue Jul 21st, 2026 @ 9:56pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar

As with most Klingon planets, this planet was a terrestrial world filled with expansive mountain ranges and dense jungles and forests. The stone and metal buildings were almost built like they sprung up amongst the setting. Commander Smith and his team materialized in the vast forest that encircled the Klingon colonial outpost. The four-man team was quickly on the move, pushing forward on their mission to covertly infiltrate the outpost and capture Toral.

The team moved swiftly and silently into the outpost, and once there, used continued stealth to minimize contact. They had to be shadows, at least until the…

Mission: Sins of the Empire
Posted on Tue Jul 21st, 2026 @ 7:17pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar & Commander Samantha Howard & Lieutenant Commander Callie Raven-Grayson & Lieutenant Imik S'Niohun & Chief Petty Officer Aaron Geiger

"Message sent" Deanna replied. "The Chief is on his way to handle the EPS relays."

"Full spread of photon torpedoes launched, attack pattern Gamma 2 instigated." Imik repeated Shran's order to ensure both she and the rest of the bridge crew knew what was happening, "Full phaser barrage, targeting their weapons and engines by your command Sinkahue." As the torpedoes hit the phaser fire followed instantly, the warbirds seemed to disappear in an almost blinding light as they were hit with salvo after salvo from the Washington. "Two warbirds now without power, weapons or shields. The third is attempting to…

Chief Petty Officer Geiger, Aaron R - Personal Log

"We have returned from the Klingon ship, all present and accounted for. She's as good as we can get her outside of time in drydock. It is interesting seeing the Engineering philosophy behind Klingon design as compared to Federation."

"Federation design tends to assume every system will fail, then includes redundant and tertiary components to compensate. The Klingons seem to try and predict specific problems and plan for those specific contingencies, which in my opinion creates some blindspots. Hopefully we helped introduce some more outside the box thinking over there."

"Speaking…

Okay so I literally cannot catch a break. I was just sitting at my desk minding my own business going through sensor reports when this transmission comes through and the computer just accepts it because apparently this guy Karnek knows how to override the block I set up for unwanted calls. And of course Karnek is a Romulan Intelligence officer. And of course he is the brother of Selmek, the Romulan I killed a few weeks ago in self defense. So now I have an actual blood feud on my hands. This is on top of the whole…

Begin Log

We have been inundated with Klingons, my staff working around the clock to save those we can and provide an honourable outcome for those we cannot. The range of injuries and the lust for blunt and bladed forced trauma have caused our surgical suites to be overloaded. The blood on the floor will required industrial decontamination at a time when it is not constantly in priority one use.

The staff are fatigued, but we rally with the hope that we can still stem the tide, making headway through the backlog and a wistful hope that the Klingon's multiple…

Captain's Personal Log

While we were on patrol of the Neutral Zone, we were pulled into an incident. I say we, but I mean that I was pulled into the incident. Many years ago, around the time of the war, Worf introduced me to a strange Klingon woman. Her name was Ba'el, and Worf was seemingly her guardian. He brought her to serve in the Klingon Defense Forces and later had her brought into the House of Martok.

Her very existence was a sin of the Empire, something they would never talk about. most in the Federation do not truly…

Begin personal log.

This is my first personal log on board following our long sojourn on Earth and Vulcan, my injuries are healed, everything is working well and I am used to my enhancements. Looks like the Washington is in a real mess once again but, to tell the truth I have missed it and the people on her, my friends. I think Seth will be glad to get back to work after spending an extended time on Vulcan staying with aunt She'la whilst I worked on getting my mental health back up to strength with T'ghrek. We have left…
