Welcome to the USS Washington-E!

Welcome to the USS Washington-E, a post-Dominion War sim. The year is 2386. The Dominion War has been over for several years, but its aftermath is still unfolding. The Federation and the Romulans are the only two major powers, and only the Federation is stable, to a point. The Klingon Empire is still rebuilding and addressing its many wounds from the war, Cardassia is in shambles and occupied, and the Romulans are in far worse shape because of their own misdeeds than they would have outsiders believe. The Federation is now the lone superpower in the Quadrant, a role it neither wants nor enjoys. Exploration has returned, but the dangers of space have never been more pronounced. Welcome to the USS Washington, where danger and adventure lurk around every corner.

» May Awards

Posted on Sun Jun 7th, 2026 @ 6:38pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar in General News

The flowers have bloomed, all traces of cold wintery weather is gone, and even the bulk of the Spring rain has passed. That can mean only one thing, May has come and gone. It was a good month, and when I reviewed the posts, it turned out to be even better than I had remembered. Everyone seems to have contributed in some way. As we move into the summer months (at least for most of us), I look forward to seeing what we all come up with in our posting. Below you will find the May awards. As always, I…

Posted on Mon May 4th, 2026 @ 8:36pm by Captain Shran dh'Klar in General News

Well, April was a fun month. Everyone seemed to participate, but two of our players were particularly active and really pushed things forward. Our mission seems to be moving to its climax, but we saw plenty of great posts surrounding this fun story in April. Below you will find the April winners, and as always, I congratulate them and wish them luck as they represent the ship at the fleet level.

Mission: Sins of the Empire
Posted on Thu Jun 18th, 2026 @ 11:19am by Lieutenant Imik S'Niohun

ON

Entering the main shuttle bay, Imik did a quick visual check on the shuttles she needed. The four type 8's appeared ok, the four type 9's also pass the visual check. Moving around she now checked the three type 11's, outwardly all three seemed fine. Imik now returned to her start point and entered the first type 8, as a pilot she was cleared to do pre flight checks. All four type 8's passed their pre flight checks, she now moved on to the type 9's

Another quick visual as she entered then on to the pre flight checks,…

Mission: Sins of the Empire
Posted on Thu Jun 18th, 2026 @ 7:09am by Lieutenant JG Kate Kono

The overhead lights in the intelligence suite glowed in a way that was almost kind. Lieutenant Junior Grade Kate Kono suspected it was intentional, a thoughtful act by the ship’s engineers to counter the cold, analytical mood of the space. Every edge; consoles, chairs, the broad table with its built-in display looked softened, she thought, as if the designers had tried to make the room safe for secrets.

Kono stepped through the hatch, let the pressure seal whisper closed behind her, and took a moment to survey the room. She had the place to herself, as usual. Day shift junior…

Mission: Sins of the Empire
Posted on Wed Jun 17th, 2026 @ 8:46pm by Lieutenant JG Kate Kono & Ensign Aidan "A.J." Reid & Lieutenant JG Benjamin "Ben" Dalton

Kate stepped into AJ's quarters and paused. Bamboo paneling lined the walls, strung through with paper lanterns that cast a warm amber glow across every surface. Candles flickered on the shelves, and the air carried the faint sweetness of coconut. The standard overhead ship lighting had clearly not been touched in some time, its cold utility entirely displaced by the softer warmth AJ had replicated throughout the compartment. Kate glanced over at Ben with a small smile.

"Not sure if these are AJ's quarters or the Holodeck," she said. "Feels like a completely different world in here."

'Pretty sure these…

Mission: Sins of the Empire
Posted on Wed Jun 17th, 2026 @ 4:44pm by Commander Jonathan Grayson & Lieutenant Commander Callie Raven-Grayson & Lieutenant Imik S'Niohun

After the meeting ended, it still remained to get the civilians off the Washington before any engagement with the Romulans. "Callie, Imik please come into my Ready Room, I have a task for you both." He said a bit cryptically as he entered his Ready Room, knowing Callie and Imik would be following him in. He sat down behind his desk and waited.

Imik had been heading for Tactical when she heard Jon's call, "Imik here, on my way." Her realigning of the sensors and weapons systems would have to wait, but it had to be done before the Washington…

Mission: Sins of the Empire
Posted on Wed Jun 17th, 2026 @ 8:58am by Captain Shran dh'Klar & Chief Petty Officer Aaron Geiger

Kapowski and the others were awaiting the Chief in the transporter room. Everyone had their toolkit in hand and a phaser on their hip as per protocol. As Aaron walked in Kapowski said in her usual chipper voice, "Time to save the galaxy again Chief. Saving the Federation one repair at a time."

"That's the thing ma'am, Starships are doggedly determined to break down. We keep 'em from what they want as long as we can but eventually, they all win."

Aaron looked to the team. "Listen people. Protect yourselves at all times. Nobody goes off alone. We check in…

Begin Log

We have been inundated with Klingons, my staff working around the clock to save those we can and provide an honourable outcome for those we cannot. The range of injuries and the lust for blunt and bladed forced trauma have caused our surgical suites to be overloaded. The blood on the floor will required industrial decontamination at a time when it is not constantly in priority one use.

The staff are fatigued, but we rally with the hope that we can still stem the tide, making headway through the backlog and a wistful hope that the Klingon's multiple…

Captain's Personal Log

While we were on patrol of the Neutral Zone, we were pulled into an incident. I say we, but I mean that I was pulled into the incident. Many years ago, around the time of the war, Worf introduced me to a strange Klingon woman. Her name was Ba'el, and Worf was seemingly her guardian. He brought her to serve in the Klingon Defense Forces and later had her brought into the House of Martok.

Her very existence was a sin of the Empire, something they would never talk about. most in the Federation do not truly…

Begin personal log.

This is my first personal log on board following our long sojourn on Earth and Vulcan, my injuries are healed, everything is working well and I am used to my enhancements. Looks like the Washington is in a real mess once again but, to tell the truth I have missed it and the people on her, my friends. I think Seth will be glad to get back to work after spending an extended time on Vulcan staying with aunt She'la whilst I worked on getting my mental health back up to strength with T'ghrek. We have left…

OCC: Ben and Kate's Quarters.

IC:

Ben sat at the desk, he was idlily scratching Kodie's ears but his mind was elsewhere. He missed Kate.

IC:

"Personal Log. Lieutenant Ben Dalton. I miss Kate. I miss her terribly. I miss her exuberance, her sense of humor, her goodness. her quirkiness. I can say for a fact that absence does not make the heart grown fonder. It makes me miss her even more. Even Kodie misses her scratching his ears and stomach."

He paused and sighed before resuming his recording. "I know she is with the captain and others on a…

"Personal Log, Lieutenant JG James Phoenix.

This is a bit of a weird log. I haven't sat down to type one of these since my assignment at Deep Space Two. I never really needed to. I usually wait until I'm off duty and alone in my quarters. I suppose I'm just bored on this road-trip with my colleagues, and I don't want to bother them while I am keeping an eye on the Bahamut's tactical readouts.

We are returning to the Washington after an intelligence conference with the brass. I am honored that the Captain asked me to represent security…
