Black Cluster Rescue

The Washington must attempt the rescue of the Science vessel, USS Carl Sagan which was studying a protostar cluster that was collapsing to form a black cluster. Pulling data from a mission the Enterprise-D was on when it dealt with the same phenomena, the crew believes they are prepared for the gravitational stresses and amplifications that will come from using deflectors, forcing them to navigate the phenomenon under hazardous conditions. Can they find the Sagan in time and save it from a grim fate?
