A Painful Truth

Location: Imik's cabin
Timeline: Present

ON

Imik had returned to her cabin, to say she was angry was an understatement. These so called Gods had called her a liar, a purveyor of falsehoods. And the Federation crew had done nothing to correct them, even as she stood alone before these so called Gods for the crews protection. When Jon did finally come to her side, it wasn't to support her only ensure nothing happened to the ship or Federation crew.

She sat looking at the room and wondered what to do next, a line from Sachzny's personal log now came to mind. It read, (Things aboard the Washington hadn't been the same for some time.) Sachzny herself put it down to the Human habit of moving on, (The Humans tire of things and people very quickly, their short span of life make them forget friends and adopt new friends and ways.) Shortly there after she had returned to Ekotsy Prime and mourned the passing of her old life aboard the Federation vessel, a brief visit had filled her with joy but then she felt that passing again. Calling Imik to one side
Sachzny gave her a warning. "Watch carefully the Humans, for their love or like for you will quickly wane. You will know when this is so, for they will abandon you."

Imik now felt abandoned, had her tenure on this Federation vessel already have come to an end? It was even shorter than the last time, she now considered contacting her High Command and requesting a transfer to an Ojnas ship, she like Sachzny would return to her own kind and begin to build a new life. Maybe the words of those who called for separation from the Federation had a valid point, these aliens did not want or need the Ojnas and so remaining would only harm the Ojnas people. On this matter she would ponder, she would now watch and listen to everything around her. And should she come to the conclusion that her time had passed aboard the Washington, she would leave and follow Sachzny back to Ekotsy Prime and forget the Federation.
