Mission: Cead Mile Failte
Location: Washington
Timeline: Current

::ON::

Boredom is not a word that occurs in the Pandoran's language. If they are not working (which comprises at least 60% of their waking hours) they are consuming nourishment, learning, sleeping or teaching their young (if they have any). Life on Pandora is neither easy, comfortable or safe. Their entire existence revolves around the continued survival and success of all.

For Kasm, this means that if he is not performing the tasks assigned to him, he is either seeking out nourishment or sleep. Though, as with his time on Rock at the Academy, he found that if he did not keep up a regular regiment of exercise he would begin to feel off, so spending time at the gym lifting weights became a regular routine for him. While at the Academy, one of his classmates eventually suggested that he also spend time in a holo-suite as it could present a greater challenge for him than any gym could.

Most of the time spent in the gym facilities on the Washington have been during the off hours. He has found that lifting weights during busy times ends up with everyone else in the room stopping what they are doing to stare at him. As the general limit to what he can lift is based more on the strength of the bars, he generally limits his lifting to 2-300kg to prevent any damage to the equipment.

[Holo Deck 7]

After his time aboard the ship, Kasm was beginning to feel the effects of low gravity and sought out one of the holo-decks.

"Computer, is this chamber occupied"

^Holo Deck 7 is currently unoccupied^

Pulling out his mini-PADD he brings up a holo-suite program that another student at the Academy had built for him to recreate the planetary conditions of his home world Pandora. Reciting the incantation that he was taught to make a holo-suite load the program he says "Computer, load program Pandora 7 bravo from my personal PADD and run in Holo Dek 7"

^Working, Program loaded^ accompanied by a warning tone that is grating on his ears the computer continues ^WARNING!! Holo Deck safety interlocks disengaged. Holo Deck environmental settings over ridden, internal environment poses extreme hazard! Force fields engaged for structural integrity^

Huffing to himself he says "Computer, open the door"

^Warning, this simulation represents a high gravity environment, the blue zone maintains 1.0g relative. Orange 1.8g, red 2.3g, beyond 2.6g relative for Pandoran world equivalent. Recommend minimum 3 minute adaptation orientation prior to proceeding to each zone.^ With this final warning the door to the Holo Deck opens and Kasm steps into the blue square just inside the chamber, with a whoosh, the door closes and locks behind him to prevent anyone from accidently entering.

[Bridge]

On one of the system consoles a warning light begins to flash declaring that the safety interlocks on Holo Deck 7 have been disabled.
