Mission:
Sins of the Empire
Location: Main Shuttle Bay, Secondary Shuttle Bay, Captains Yacht.
Timeline: Present
ON
Entering the main shuttle bay, Imik did a quick visual check on the shuttles she needed. The four type 8's appeared ok, the four type 9's also pass the visual check. Moving around she now checked the three type 11's, outwardly all three seemed fine. Imik now returned to her start point and entered the first type 8, as a pilot she was cleared to do pre flight checks. All four type 8's passed their pre flight checks, she now moved on to the type 9's
Another quick visual as she entered then on to the pre flight checks, three of the four passed but one had a nacelle fault which would be reported. Imik did a quick check on the time, she'd been in the bay for close to three hours but wasn't finished yet. She still had the three type 11's to check, walking over to them she again did her visual checks nothing seemed out of place. She now entered the first type 11 and began the pre flight test, it passed.
Leaving the first of the type 11's she walked to the next, another visual as she approached. Entering she noted that the rear of the shuttle had a maintenance issue, several panels were loose and the seating needed repair. Another damage report required for this shuttle, moving to the cockpit she ran the pre flight tests. Surprisingly the shuttle cleared everything, shame about the damage.
Moving to the third and final type 11 in this bay, Imik noted damage to both the hull and port side nacelle. the inside was also damaged. Then she remembered that this was the shuttle the Sinkahue had crashed, she would have to get a repair team on this shuttle quickly as they needed every available shuttle to remove the civilians. Another check on the time, close to five hours had now passed but she still had the Secondary Shuttle bay to check.
As she made her way to the Secondary Shuttle Bay, Imik made a note that so far she only had seven shuttles to work with. None of then were type 11's, but her ace in the hole was the Captains Yacht it held 20 passengers and there was no reason why it wouldn't be in A1 condition. Entering the bay Imik now did her quick glance at the shuttles within, so far so good. First the two type 8's, a more detailed visual then inside for pre flight checks. Both type 8's again pass all checks, now on to the two type 9's.
Imik now did her more detailed visuals on the outside of the type 9's, no damage so things were looking good. Inside she had yet another pleasant surprise, both type 9's passed the pre flights with ease that now gave her eleven shuttles to work with. She now turned to the one type 11 that resided here, the visual check was good. A little dirty but no damage, now for the pre flight. Imik sat in the pilots seat and ran the pre flight checks, to her joy she got a clean and green result she now had twelve shuttles in her pocket. A time check showed seven hours work so far but she had one more shuttle to check, the Captains yacht.
Arriving at the Captains Yacht Imik could only visually check the top of the vessel, but there was no damage so she preceded to get on board and carry out the pre flights. As expected the yacht gave her a straight green on all checks, thirteen vessels in all and the one she most wanted was in. A quick calculation came back as 104 seats available for passengers and 34 crew needed. Now if she could get the those last two type 11's she'd have seating for 116. After eight hours work she now had a report to make to Jon, how he would react to this information she couldn't tell. But she had done her best with what she had, the rest was up to engineering and the repair teams.
