Mission: Wounds From the Mirror
Location: Wyatt and Vienna's Quarters
Timeline: Evening

Wyatt was in his study and going over the reports from the last mission and to be frank he was dismayed. Commander Smith's team performed flawlessly as did Vienna in carrying out her duties. He just felt more could have been done but didn't know what. He sighed pushed the reports to one side and got up and proceeded to the kitchen and poured two glasses of wine. "Vienna darling can you come in here please?"

As he waited, he went and got the present he had gotten her. it was an early anniversary gift. Diamond studded earrings and a diamond pendant along with a weekend pass to Risa (whenever they got the chance) He placed the elegantly wrapped box in a drawer as he waited.

Appearing in the doorway her favourite book in hand Vienna offered a warm smile. “What’s up?”

"Come in sweetie." Wyatt said with an answering smile. As he handed her a glass of wine. " See what you think of this wine. I fixed us some cheese and crackers for snacks as well."

Vienna smiled as she took the glass of wine, putting her book down. “Thank you.” She sipped it before she picked up a cracker and nibbled on it. “Very nice wine, quite fruity.”

Wyatt nodded and grinned, "Glad you approve Vi." He answered as he picked up a cracker and bit it. He then took a sip of the wine. "It is different for sure. I think I like it at least as an alternative."

“Is this an early celebration of our special day, or is there something else you need to tell me?” Vi gave her husband a curious look.

Wyatt's smile grew. "You are so perceptive. It is actually an early celebration and me giving you something. Unless of course you don't want it." He teased.

“Are you kidding!? I love surprises!” Vienna grinned. “I want to know what it is.”

Wyatt grinned he did know Vienna loved surprises but he also liked to tease her. "Now Vienna, don't be hasty. You may not want this." He said as he opened the drawer to pull out the beautifully wrapped box.

Vienna’s eyes widened at the sight of the gift box Wyatt was holding. “Oh now you’re just teasing!”

Wyatt looked at her in mock reproach, "Why Vienna Steele are you accusing me, your husband of teasing you?" The last said with a broad smile and a chuckle.

“Ohh I most definitely am Wyatt Steele!” Vienna grinned as she gave him a stern look before grinning.

"Ah, okay. I was just making sure." Wyatt grinned back at her as he handed her the box. "This is just the beginning." He said cryptically.

“Can I open it?” Vienna gave Wyatt an excited look. She was like a kid in a candy store when it came to surprises.

Wyatt chuckled at her comment, "Of course you can open it. I gave it to you to open." He smiled at her, "Tear into it darling. But remember this is only the beginning."

Opening the gift Vienna looked at Wyatt in surprise as she saw the Diamond studded earrings and pendant along with the weekend pass to Risa. “Ohh Wyatt! These are amazing!!!”

Wyatt smiled brilliantly at her, Glad you like them. They will look wonderful on you. He took her hand, "Put those down. We're not done, still have a few more surprises for you." As he led her out of their quarters and into the nearest lift. A few seconds later they were standing in front of holodeck 2.

Vienna looked at Wyatt curiously. “What on Earth have you been up to now? I can’t wait to see.”

"Patience love." He addressed the computer. "Computer run program Steele 1." and instant later the Computer replied, "You may enter when ready." Taking Vi's hand they stepped through the arch and into a 1930s night club with it's dim lighting, smoky haze and nonstop chatter. Wyatt quickly took Vi to a table at the front of the club directly in front of a raised stage. he kissed her tenderly and said "Be back soon." and disappeared into the crowd as a waitress came to take Vi's drink order.

Vienna smiled politely as she ordered a Risan sunrise, wondering where it was Wyatt had vanished off to.

Moments later the MC walked out on the stage, "Ladies and Gentlemen. We've had a request from a patron asking could he sing a couple of songs. So without further ado, please welcome Wyatt Steele!"

Vienna’s eyes widened in surprise as Wyatt’s name was called, she hadn’t expected him to be the entertainment.

Wyatt walked onto the stage resplendent in a black tuxedo, white shirt and black bow tie. Reaching the microphone he waved and bowed to the audience. "Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen. I have a couple songs for I hope your listening pleasure. The first in one I think we all ask ourselves when we're in a long term relationship. So without further ado." He took the microphone and cradled it in his hands as he looked to area Vienna was sitting (the stage lights blocked him from seeing her) and began to sing the upbeat song.

When I get older losing my hair
Many years from now
Will you still be sending me a Valentine
Birthday greetings, bottle of wine?
If I'd been out 'til quarter to three
Would you lock the door?
… Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four?
… You'll be older too
And if you say the word
I could stay with you
… I could be handy, mending a fuse
When your lights have gone
You can knit a sweater by the fireside
Sunday mornings go for a ride
Doing the garden, digging the weeds
Who could ask for more?
… Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four?
… Every summer we can rent a cottage in the Isle of Wight, if it's not too dear
We shall scrimp and save (shall scrimp and save)
Grandchildren on your knee
Vera, Chuck and Dave
… Send me a postcard, drop me a line
Stating point of view
Indicate precisely what you mean to say
Yours sincerely, wasting away
Give me your answer, fill in a form
Mine for evermore
… Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four?

Vienna was sitting totally immersed in her beloved’s performance, her applause at the end of the song was the loudest in the room.

The crowd clapped in appreciation and Wyatt bowed in response. Standing , he spoke to the crowd. "Thank you, thank you, thank you very much. This next song is my wife's favorite. This song is for you Vienna Steele, for you are my Rose."

Cradling the microphone the way he would hold Vi he sang the poignant lyrics of the song.

Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower
And you, its only seed
It's the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It's the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taking
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul, afraid of dying
That never learns to live
When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun's love
In the spring becomes the rose

The audience roared it's approval with load claps and whistles. Wyatt bowed in return. He however was only interested in what Vi thought, She was his world.

Vienna being the ever heartfelt woman she was, was wiping away a few emotional tears at Wyatt’s heartfelt performance. “Ohh Wyatt! You were amazing!!”

Wyatt smiled brilliantly at her. "Thank you love." As he reached his hand out and brought her on stage with him. "Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present Vienna Steele, my better half, my beautiful, loving and amazing wife. My Rose." The crowd clapped enthusiastically at Vienna's introduction. A few whistles were also thrown in for good measure.

Vienna couldn’t help but blush even though the crowd wasn’t a real one. “Computer…change to programme Vienna four.”

Moments later the room changed to a romantic beach retreat, with private beach area overlooking sparkling blue waters. “Now I have you all to myself, and you are severely overdressed.” She gave him a wry smile as she slipped out of her dress and walked towards the large bedroom.

Wyatt nodded in approval at the change of locations. "Oh! I like this." He smiled at Vienna as she made her comment and then slipped out of her dress. "Perhaps you would like to help me, with my overdressed situation." He grinned as he followed her towards the bedroom.

“Ohh I intend to…” Vienna grinned as she stepped through the bedroom doorway.

"Oh yeah! Let the good times roll!" Wyatt answered following her into the bedroom.
